A stupid joke

A string walks into the bar and orders a drink, the bartender says, "sorry we don't serve strings here." The string, though a bit upset, complies and leaves the bar. Outside the string notices that this bar is a really happening' place and he needs a drink in a bad way. He really wants to get inside. So he throws on some shades and messes up his hair. Once the hair has been thoroughly mussed, he walks back into the bar and orders his drink. The bartender says, "Hey, aren't you the string that was in here earlier?" The string thinks for a moment. "No," he replies, "I'm afraid not."
