TO TIP OR NOT TO TIP.. that is the question.....

i used to be a server a while ago (quite an experience i must tell ya)
and even still, i always get confused as to how much to tip...

sure, if the service is good, u tip more, and if they suck, u don't tip as much right...

but some ppl i know tip 20% no matter what..

how much is too much? how much is too little?

the minimum is 15%.

at my previous work place (ha!), the minimum was 17%...

i saw some people actually bust out the calculators on their cellphones and leave an exact percentage.

I do 15% and then round to the nearest dollar, 20% or more if they were good.

I tip %20... and never less than 3$ on pizza delivery, even if it ends up being higher than 20%.

I always start at 20% (unless the person is just totally horrible) then work my way up from there depending on the level of service, breast size, how many times my drink went unfilled...it works for me.

I don't do a percentage. I just tip what I think is fair for the service I received. It usually averages out to be 30% though.

20% unless service sucked...and I don't mean that it took a long time to get seated/ fed...I mean problems with gettig orders right, and not keeping the drinks filled with more than a little drink and a lot of ice

i guess the best job is to be a bartender then cuz they get tipped the most!
