More on the cubase woes

Post by enation.org »

New to Cubase SX (1.0.5). Coming from a Cakewalk background.

Maybe its my setup, maybe I'm missing something.

I have a MIDI device tha transmists on Channels 1 - 4. I want to record each MIDI Channel in its own track.
  • Create 4 MIDI Tracks
Each track's Input/Ouput is the MIDI adapter
Each Track is set to its Channel that its supposed to record (1 - 4)
When I Hit record it records ALL 4 Channels on each MIDI Track. I am also using a custom made Drum Map.

Anyone see what I'm doing wrong?[/list]

Turns out that it is not as intuitive as one would think. You have to use input transformers.

Acid 4 Pro has a drop down midi piano scroll very similar to Cakewalk. Very Legit.
