What are your approaches to a remix?
What makes it good?
rearranging? adding elements? taking elements away?
Changing the beat structure entirely?
What makes a good remix?

I have to say that I agree. If you do not pick something of your self in to a remix then it WILL suck hardcore. I like to keep the same arangement as the track that I am remixing. ( pro arangers get paid a lot more then I do!) I will however lengthen it some. As I like to remix rock songs into Drum and Bass. I fell like the best way to remix is your way. Make the song sound like you produced the original song.
